About the Event
Despite the current challenges posed by the pandemic, the current administration continues to develop more infrastructure through the Build, Build, Build program. In the long run, this aims to foster economic growth and create more jobs in the country. Various government agencies and private companies are already involved in several projects under this program including Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) and Acciona's Construction Business (Acciona).
With this, La Camara has invited Mr. Vince Dizon of BCDA and Mr. Ruben Camba, Regional Director Southeast Asia, Acciona's Construction Business on a webinar happening on 25 March, 2PM to discuss with us significant public and private sectors updates on their involvement in the Build Build Build Program.
- Mr. Vince Dizon, Presidential Adviser on Flagship Programs and Projects, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) (Invited)
Vivencio Dizon is the current Presidential Adviser on Flagship Programs and Projects, and the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA).
Prior to holding the executive positions in BCDA, he was a Consultant of then Senate Majority Leader Alan Peter Cayetano; Undersecretary for Political Affairs of the Office of the President of the Republic of the Philippines; and Chief of Staff of the Office of Senator Edgardo Angara.
He was also an assistant professor of Economics at De La Salle University. He obtained his degrees in Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Bachelor of Science in Commerce major in Management of Financial Institutions from De La Salle University. He was also a Chevening Scholarship awardee in 1998 and obtained his Master of Science in Applied Development Studies
from the University of Reading in the United Kingdom.
- Mr. Ruben Camba, Regional Director Southeast Asia, Acciona's Construction Business
Ruben Camba is a Senior Infrastructure Management Executive with 18 years of diverse international experience.
He joined Acciona in 2011 in a global position as Tender Director. For five years Ruben was leading successfully major infrastructure Tenders in Canada, Latin America, Middle East and Australia.
Ruben launched Acciona business in Asia in 2016, as Regional Director of South East Asia. Leading the strategy and development of business opportunities in the region, his focus has been the participation in sustainable infrastructure, and establishing strategic partnerships.
Under his leadership, the company increased the portfolio in the Philippines with key transportation projects of the government’s Build, Build, Build program such as Cebu–Cordova Link Bridge and Malolos-Clark Railway Project (MCRP) packages CP02 and CP04. The portfolio of sustainable projects includes also two water treatment plants in the capital region, Putatan and Laguna Lake.
He holds a MBA from University of Chicago Booth.
